Jianna Mary Small arrived on October 20th at 1210am (yes, 10 minutes after midnight). She was born at home in my bathroom and I was visited by police, fire, and ambulance. The story of how that happened is for another blog posting so stay tuned. At the hospital she weighed in at 6 pounds 4 ounces and measured 18-1/4 inches long. There were no complications and she's absolutely perfect! She's got beautiful dark hair and only cries when she's hungry or getting her diaper changed.Carleigh is doing well in adjusting to her big sister status and is a great helper a times. We've only had one incident so far where Jianna's crying has woken up Carleigh and Carleigh makes sure that Jianna always has a pacifier nearby.
